| Mold Project Management |
|
Molds can grow on building materials, dust, and dirt as long as moisture and moderate temperatures are present. Excessive moisture in buildings causes mold growth, particularly if a water problem remains undiscovered or ignored. In all situations, the cause or source of water must be identified and corrected or fungal growth will reoccur. Although no legal or regulatory standards have been established for "allowable" mold levels, we follow current professional guidelines when establishing specifications for clean up. Determining the appropriate steps of remediation is dependent largely on three factors:
Quality assurance and control are crucial to make certain successful completion of a remediation project. As a representative of the building owner, we direct the contractor during the clean up process ensuring that project specifications are followed correctly, while working safely toward a positive outcome. We work closely with the contractor in clarifying procedures and practices throughout the remediation process. Most importantly, documenting daily project activities, tracking progress according to the work plan, and PCA inspections assure project quality. |
